Jasmine Women’s Group
Jasmine is an 8 week therapeutic support group for women. The programme offers an opportunity for women to explore problems with emotional health and wellbeing, share experiences with other women who may have similar issues, and learn about different ways to help feel and cope better. Many women have found Jasmine very helpful. It is facilitated by a qualified and experienced counsellor or psychotherapist. There is also a support worker attached to the programme who can offer help with practical issues that might affect mental wellbeing.
The group is suitable for women aged 18 and over who have difficulties with any of the following:
- anxiety and panic
- low self esteem/confidence
- loss following relationship breakup or bereavement
There is no charge for the group, however we ask for your commitment to complete the programme. Jasmine is offered at locations across Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. You will not be able to join Jasmine if you are already receiving counselling or another psychological therapy.
After we have received your referral we will ask you to come for an assessment meeting with the programme leader and support worker before beginning. If it seems that Jasmine is not the right kind of help, we will try to signpost you to alternative sources of support.
The following groups are open to applications. To be eligible for a group you need to live, work or study in the local authority sponsoring the programme, either Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council (TMBC), Sevenoaks District Council (SDC), or Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (TWBC).
