Little Thoughts

Our Community Development Director Jenny Godfrey has met with another young local blogger, Hannah Rainey. She lives in Hildenborough and has lived experience of anxiety and depression. Hannah’s passion for opening up discussion about mental health is huge. Jenny saw this when they met, and says,

“Hannah is an inspirational young champion for mental health. With lived experience of anxiety and depression and a love of writing she is keen to make a difference to others facing similar challenges to those she has been and is going through. At West Kent Mind we are keen to help her voice be heard and so you will find her blog on our website.”

Hannah says,

“There is still so much stigma surrounding mental illness and I believe that this is down to the lack of education on mental health. Mental health is something I feel incredibly passionate about I am determined to raise awareness, end the stigma and get help for the people that need it. It’s for this reason that working in partnership with West Kent Mind is so important to me.”
