My Mind’s Eye – NEW Mindful Photography Group

We are so excited to announce a NEW Mindful Photography Group My Mind’s Eye, starting in late January, part of our Community Wellbeing programme.

These stunning pictures were taken by Paul Sanders. Paul used to be Picture Editor of The Times, after suffering depression, stress and anxiety he left to become a freelance landscape photographer, and is passionate about the benefit of photography to mental health and wellness. We have partnered with Paul to offer a course of mindful photography and the sessions will focus on helping participants to calmly reconnect with the world through photography, engaging with surroundings and finding beauty in the things around you. Paul will be running the course alongside West Kent Mind trustee Steve Sunnucks with support from the West Kent Mind community team.

The group is open to any adult living or working in West Kent who feels it would benefit their mental health. No previous experience or special equipment is necessary, the sessions will be fun, accessible and inspiring. Please visit our My Mind’s Eye page for full details and to complete the referral form.

There are limited spaces in the group so Paul & Steve will be running some short online masterclasses available to all, more info on this in the new year!
