University Mental Health Day 2021

University can be a stressful time for students for lots of reasons, but what can you do when the pressure gets too much? You don’t have to deal with it alone.

A large survey of 38,000 UK students found that 21.5% had a mental health diagnosis, 53% said their wellbeing and mental health had worsened as a result of the pandemic and 60% of students reported having felt anxiety or depression during the pandemic.

Mind has a dedicated Student Mental Health Hub which provides information about how to cope with the challenges of student life and mental health, access to tools, tips, videos and blogs and specialised support for BAME, disabled and LGBTIQ+ students

Based on the Five Ways to Wellbeing, this short video gives tips and advice on how to approach looking after mental health in five ways, useful for everyone.
