A Brighter Future

Note this programme will re-open for referrals in the New Year, and is not currently accepting new referrals. Please check back in January 2019.

Coping with the loss of someone or something you love is one of life’s biggest challenges. Often the pain of loss can feel overwhelming. People may experience all kinds of difficult and unexpected emotions, from shock and anger to disbelief, guilt, and profound sadness. The pain of grief can disrupt physical and mental health, making it difficult to sleep, eat, or even think straight.

A Brighter Future is a new programme from Live Well Kent and West Kent Mind for people who want help to deal with loss. This could be the loss of a partner, loved one or a pet, loss of employment or a home, loss of mobility or independence, or any other kind of loss.

The programme offers 8 weeks of 1:1 counselling followed by a one-off workshop facilitated by a qualified therapist. The workshop will offer group support and psychoeducation around grief and loss.

The programme will be starting in July and running in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.

A Brighter Future is operated by West Kent Mind on behalf of Shaw Trust, who are the Live Well Kent partner in west Kent. Your data will be shared with Shaw Trust, who may contact you directly about this and other Live Well Kent services.
