Embed Mental Health First Aid skills into your organisation and create a positive mental health culture.

Healthy and productive employees are essential for any employer. Employees who feel valued and supported are more likely to perform at their peak and remain committed to the organisation.
Poor mental health in the workplace can negatively affect concentration, productivity, and relationships with colleagues.
In addition, it costs employers an estimated £51bn each year, in absenteeism, presenteeism, and staff turnover.*
Investing in mental health benefits your teams and your business. Providing mental health training, alongside improving policies, practices and culture, will enable your workforce to thrive.

We’ve already had mental health training… why do we need more?
Training improves knowledge and awareness, reduces mental health stigma, and helps give people the confidence to talk about things. It gives people practical tools to support themselves and others, and contributes to a happier, healthier workforce. The knowledge, skills and confidence all need a refresh and a boost from time to time.

I’ve worked with West Kent Mind over the last few years to deliver Mental Health First Aid training as well as wider training support to staff in our business. They have provided our organisation with an invaluable and personal service, designing and delivering programmes that have given our staff the tools to look after their own mental health and wellbeing, while also building the confidence in our management team to step in, reassure and support their staff too. Offering in-depth training in a confidential, safe environment, West Kent Mind have successfully helped us embed wellbeing in our organisation and continually support us in developing an open, understanding culture about mental health.

The workshop gave our staff the opportunity to talk about how they were feeling about returning to work from the office and learn from others experiences, addressing some of the issues around the anxiety and stress they may be experiencing, and offering coping strategies and self-care techniques.
