Visualisation exercises are powerful tools for promoting positive mental wellbeing. They can help reduce stress, encourage a feeling of peace and relaxation, and increase focus.
Here are a two effective visualisation techniques you may wish to try:
The Calm Place
    • Close your eyes and take several deep breaths.
    • Imagine a peaceful and calming place, such as a beach, a quiet forest, or a garden… somewhere you may feel at peace.
    • Visualise the sights, sounds, and smells around you in as much detail as possible.
    • Feel the sensations—like the warmth of the sun or the gentle breeze on your skin.
    • Stay in this peaceful place for several minutes, focusing on the calm it brings.
The Healing Light
    • Sit or lie down in a comfortable position and close your eyes.
    • Imagine a warm, glowing light above you.
    • Picture this light descending toward you, starting at the top of your head and gently flowing down your entire body.
    • As the light moves down, imagine it healing and soothing every part of you it touches—relaxing your muscles, easing tension, and clearing any negative thoughts or stress.
    • Visualise this light enveloping you in warmth and positivity, leaving you feeling refreshed and peaceful.
