2024/25, Creative Minds

2024/25 was the second year of the hugely successful three-year Creative Minds programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund RC London and South East Region. The Creative Minds programme has three core areas:

Creative Engagements, Creative Agents Development Programme and Creative Spaces.

Creative Engagements

Over six months, Creative Minds inspired imagination and supported mental wellbeing through engaging, arts-based activities. West Kent Mind Wellbeing Workers and volunteers teamed up with professional artists and arts organisations to deliver a wide range of creative sessions in community venues.

This year’s programme included everything from Dungeons & Dragons roleplay and silk painting to Word Weavers, an online creative writing series. Each course ended with a showcase event, celebrating participants’ work with family, friends, and the wider community.

This group has saved my life. I’ve never been put back on my feet in quite the same way by anything as the Silk Painting and the group of women meeting in that room.
